He was the brother of Raymond B or Raymond L King (my great uncle)and they grew up in the Golconda or Eddyville area. Raymond remained on the family farm of their parents. Their father, my great grandfather, was also named Raymond King I think. My grandfather's wife's name (my grandmother) was Missouri B. King and her maiden name was LAUDERDALE. Missouri B. King's mother (my great grandmother) may have had a the surname RANDOLPH. A sister was, I think, named Bessie Lauderdale and she married Perry WHITESIDE (they lived in Marion, Ill. at least in the 50's-60s). Thanks to anyone who has information to share. can provide. I am related to the King families and the Lauderdale families in Pope County. My father was Wiley (Bud) E. King, Jr. and my grandfather was Wiley E. King as well. He had a brother named Raymond King and I believe their father was also Raymond King. The younger Raymond lived on the small "farm" near Golconda or Eddyville, I believe, where he and my grandfather were raised by Raymond King and whomever was his wife. My grandfather, Wiley E. King, Jr. was married to Missouri B. King, whose maiden name was Lauderdale. They were married in Pope County and are buried there. I do not know the names of my grandmother's parents (my great grandmother/grandfather). I would like to learn of descendents of the Kings and Lauderdales.
