Searching for any descendant of Obediah Amaziah Jones living in the Pope County area. He was born 1858 in Pope County, was taken to Stewart Co. Tenn. about 1860. His father, Thomas L. Jones was a Confederate Soldier, captured at Ft. Henry and died at Alton Ilinois POW camp in Mar. of 1862. His Mother, Mary Ann Bucy Champion Jones Reeder, died in child birth in 1867 in Harrison Co. Iowa. Obie's grandfather (Amaziah Jones), raised him in or near Eddyville, Pope County, Illinois. He married there 21 August 1881 to Mary Bucy. I believe he died before 1930. He and Mary were living in Golconda. Thank you.
