Searching for any descendant of Obediah Amaziah Jones living in the Pope County area. He was born 1858 in Pope County, was taken to Stewart Co. Tenn. about 1860. His father, Thomas L. Jones was a Confederate Soldier, captured at Ft. Henry and died at Alton Ilinois POW camp in Mar. of 1862. His Mother, Mary Ann Bucy Champion Jones Reeder, died in child birth in 1867 in Harrison Co. Iowa. Obie's grandfather (Amaziah Jones), raised him in or near Eddyville, Pope County, Illinois. He married there 21 August 1881 to Mary Bucy. I believe he died before 1930. He and Mary were living in Golconda. Thank you.

I am looking for information regarding my Upchurch's in Pope County. I know there are a few buried in Little Grand Pier Cemetery (aka Clark Cemetery). First of all - is the Cemetery accessible? Does anyone have access or a listing of who is buried there? I am looking specifically for information on: Hulda Catherine Johnson (nee Upchurch) 1870-1962 I have no information on her husband James Frederick Fulkerson 1878-1850 (1st husband of Martha Lucinda Upchurch) Thomas J. Upchurch 1839-1896 married to Harriet Bays 1840-1926 All of the above are (according to internet sources) are buried in "Old Grand Pier Cemetery, Golconda, Pope County"
